It's muggy.

It's in San Diego.

And what would be great is ice cream and an ice cream truck tipped over, stalled traffic for hours.

It, it's a bit vague on instructions.

I mean, now we know that they have orders to open fire just openly on any other ice cream vans, so that's a useful thing if we need to lure them somewhere.

When you were

a kid, did you like hearing the ice cream truck?

Absolutely.

Blue Bell.

We just don't play music in between the actual practice time because it's hard to teach when there's music blaring, right? So we try to minimize the distractions, right? So we do a lot of teaching in practice and it's hard to teach with music on.

um we don't do a lot of fun things because the time that we spend with these guys we eat up a lot of their time so i tell them all the time i'm not going to waste your time with dodgeball and ice cream trucks i'm going to waste your time with helping you become a better football player a better man and a better student so when it's time to go go home don't want you stand around eating ice cream go get out of here go be yourself and then again ultimately all the people that have an opinion I'm not recruiting them.

I'm recruiting kids that want an opportunity to create value for themselves and want a relationship, want to be with a head coach that's willing and available to develop that relationship to help them grow.

You tell them straightforward, this is how it is.

So you got January to December, and some of these guys' college careers are over.

So I'm responsible for trying to help a young man create value for his entire life in a 12 or a 10-month span.

I don't have time for ice cream trucks, right? So I got to make sure that I'm maximizing that opportunity.

Some of these guys may go on to play in the NFL.

So we get the kids who are worried about football and creating value for themselves.

We don't do ice cream trucks.

We don't do fun things.

You know what's fun? That locker room right now is fun.

The Tigers, Charles Hough, Doug.

Especially now that they're sleeping so well.

And they don't have ice cream trucks.

Yeah.

So, so far, she has donated more than 50 books in Jake's memory to those.

And the other really cool one that I know Jake would absolutely love is the Cool Daddy's Ice Cream Truck is visiting a daycare in the near future, and they are giving away free ice cream to all the kids in the daycare.

These are just amazing things that have such a big impact on us as Jake's family and Jake's memory.

Lisa, I think it's absolutely incredible what you're trying to do here.

Kind of low-key weird.

You know, Clyde and I have been having a lot of conversations because I, he, somebody showed him Blippi and he's been like, he said, "I wanna watch Blippi and the Ice Cream Truck." And we don't really do, like, any screen time.

He watches Housewives and once in a while, like, we watch music videos.

And by the way, he said he wants to, us all to dress up as [laughs] the 1975 for Halloween, which is super awkward.

I don't know what we're doing there, but that's what he wants to be for Halloween.

So I'm like, simple, kinda cute, kind of niche, but whatever.

Somebody showed him Blippi and now he's like, "I wanna watch Blippi with the Ice Cream Truck." And I said, "Clyde, respectfully," I'm like, "Blippi's very, very weird." And if you're a mother and you know what Blippi...

Like, we, uh, this is not a Blippi household, and it's not about, like, sheltering him or...

What I do miss is a, is an ice cream van, but they were very scary.

They're still everywhere.

You go to a park, there's an ice cream van.

That's what an ice cream van is now.
