iCar and the V25 is making its Aussie debut in Sydney.

The iCar, I-C-A-U-R, not iCar like Apple, because they can't.

It is in China, though.

The V25 will make its Aussie debut at Everything Electric in Sydney, leading the events.

Um, I don't know how to say anything about this car really.

Uh, I just, I'm a bit confused about Chery's strategy in general, right? Because here they've brought out Omoda, Jaecoo, iCar is p- potentially coming, and now Lepas.

At some point you're gonna get Freelander as well.

Why does Chery need five or six brands in one market? It's-- they're just flooding the market with these SUVs which are not particularly distinct from one another.

I think that there, there's a danger here that they're cannibalizing each other's, uh, the other brands, right? 'Cause Lepas, Jaecoo, Omoda are fairly similarly priced.

And for me they don't, none of those three have much distinctive styling.

The iCar does.

I think that's a, a fantastic car.

They're bringing in another brand called Jetour.

There's another one called iCar.

There's another one called Freelander.

They are just rolling out these sub-brands because they're a massive corporation in China.

But not, not as expensive as an Audi RS7, by the way, if you do fancy your engines.

Now, Chery has confirmed going down under to Australia for the iCar V25, that's an SUV, in early 2027.

Chery Australia had confirmed the iCar brand would arrive with the V25 and the larger V27.

The vehicle, the V25, is 4.63 meters long.

That's including an externally mounted rear storage box, 2.8 meter wheelbase, five-seater cabin.

It's an EREV, so 1.5 liter engine acts as a range extender.

34 kilowatt hour LFP pack will give you 93 miles or 150 kilometers.

iCar has outlined both range extenders and pure BEVs as part of their global strategy.

When I say Chery, you've got Chery, you've got a Mordor Jaeku, you've got Lepasin, you've got iCar, um, and, and, and BYD.

And there may be another come through.

Everybody knows it, because of why? Lot of marketing effort.

And then you see people like PRONET, you know, with a lot of social media activity.

Chery's new energy vehicle brand iCar unveiled the V25 EREV SUV in Chengdu on August 14th.

Third model in the V series going on sale in Q4 this year.

We'll see more of it at the Chengdu Auto Show next week, along with everything, won't we? The V25 follows iCar's boxy family design.

Again, we've just talked about a Land Rover.

This is very similar.

I, lowercase I, like Apple, lowercase I, big C-A-R, i-Car, an Apple i-Car, because they can in China.

Outside of China, obviously you can't.
