IBM PCjr

This modular slice expansion thing, it's reared its head several ways, mostly in the 80s.

People always think this is going to be a good idea, and it never really catches fire, despite attempts on things including this platform, PCjr, Amiga 500, TI99 4A.

Everybody had their own little take on what this could be.

Any of you really deep in the tank for a module stack?

I think Sierra as well adopted it, um-

And they were building on what IBM laid out in the PCjr, but the PCjr, for various and sundry reasons, did not catch on, whereas RadioShack had the, the, the time and the retail channel and the, and the patience and so forth to, to make something out of the, the Tandy 1000 line with, with its kind of iteration on that hardware concept.

But when I looked at the Tandy 1000 prices, they weren't as cutthroat, bargain basement, absolute cheapness as Amstrad were.

Um, they were-

Floppy days.
