And people who are here a bit longer make that a huge part of their holiday, that they go to a place where they know they will have a fantastic experience, either, as you mentioned, by the sea, daytime or nighttime.

If it's in the campo, on the beach, in Ibiza Town, in San Antonio, Santa Gertrudis, all the places, I feel definitely, uh, eating out, having a very nice meal at a fabulous place, has become a huge part of people's holiday.

Yes.

And let's not forget that here in Ibiza, unlike perhaps other places, I know Ibiza is not the only place in the world, but music here, electronic music, is also, in certain places, a huge part of the experience.

Yeah.

So yeah, so affordable places also still exist, so we have the traditional Spanish restaurants, then we have a few options as well.

For example, one of our favorites, Tiki Taco in Ibiza Town, one euro tacos that are delicious.

And actually, this comes from my Mexican friend who has vouched for that it is actually ... proper Mexican flavors and foods.

so tell me about the sort of the venue as it were because in ibiza it's higgled it's higgledy-piggledy i mean people just think it's san antonio but i mean ibiza is one of the most beautiful sort of old towns in the or whatever you want to call it so how do you how do you find how do you find the place

Well, that actually was the thing that sold me on it because we paid extra to stay in San Antonio because we were advised to.

Then I rented a moped and went to Ibiza town, saw the beautiful old walled city and met all the cosmopolitan people.

I was like, wow, this is like New York or Paris or London, but in the Med.

And really nobody knows this is going on.

In this episode, we're continuing our Mediterranean tour with our next port call, Ibiza, Spain.

An island many people immediately connect with nightlife, beach clubs, and summer parties, but one that also offers historic streets, old city walls, harbor views, and a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere beyond the famous club scene.

Today, we are leaving Italy behind and arriving in Spain.

After Genoa, Civitavecchia and Palermo, the Mediterranean tour now takes us to the Balearic Islands.

And more specifically, to Ibiza.

For many people, Ibiza has a very clear image.

It is the island of music, nightlife, beach bars, DJs, clubs, and long summer evenings.

Uh, but this year, the airlines have gotten ahead of themselves and started announcing their 2027 nonis already.

Last week you discussed, uh, the new United routes to Luxembourg, Slovenia, Marseille, Sardinia, Sicily, Ibiza, Valencia, and Terceira.

Is that how you say that?

Sure.

So we might see one or two things, but I don't, I don't think we're gonna see anything nearly as splashy as what both American and United have done to Europe for next summer.

And two, Delta doesn't have any of these narrow body planes that they both do, so they don't, they don't have the right plane to fly into some of these much smaller but still popular cities that the others do.

Yeah, this A321XLR is, is really a fun plane and a game changer, and the only reason why you can fly nonstop to, uh, Ibiza and Toulouse, right? Like, you need something that small because you just don't have the full demand to fly a big wide-body plane over there all the time.

Um, we have this A321XLR flying to Vienna and Porto for American.

Sure, I'll give it my best.

There are new flights to Sardinia, specifically the Olbia Airport, Catania, Ibiza, Valencia, Marseille, and also the Azores, which is, like, an island, I think, from Portugal.

You had me at Ibiza.

Ah.

Do you know what? With Ibiza you can do...

But you can do the big late nights, but also you can just chill and go for a nice meal.

But they don't, they don't let anybody do electronic music up there other than us.
