I do think part of the problem with the studio work is there's several parts which are just long, in terms of duration, wide shots.

So for instance, when Ian realized that Craddock has been robotized, and sorry, Terry, when exactly does that happen?

[laughs]

Because the Doctor's been laid on the table, and then Bernard Kaye comes in two minutes later, and then two minutes after that, there's explosions and whatnot.

So when does Craddock get robotized? But anyway, it's like Craddock comes around the corner, and Ian says, "Craddock," and we just stay in wide shot.

Yeah.

And I kind of look at Richard Martin's other work, and Richard Martin loves cutting to a camera before it's ready.

It is very weird, that bit.

But, Cam, Doctor Who, Dragonfire was released December 7th through December 23rd, 1987 on BBC One.

uh another three-parter this was written by ian briggs who will go on to do the curse of fenric

I think Mel should wind up with Glitz.

The original script featured a different but similar character called Razorback in the role that would later be occupied by Glitz.

After recognizing the similarities between the two characters, John Nathan-Turner encouraged Ian Briggs to bring Glitz back in place of his original character.

Yes! I love it when my intuition is correct.

Well done.

Uh, and you know, Ian Briggs' script has, has everything you could possibly want.

So my goodness, it is a very, very, very good and a very, very satisfying episode of "Doctor Who." Um, don't write in, by the way, if I've got some of the, uh, I, I, I, I, I sh- I should have checked if I'd wanted to show off.

So, uh, th- I mean, when was this, when was this on? Um, uh, uh, do that, uh, da, uh...

These are all great places where terrible things can happen.

Uh, you know, the, the sense of geog- the geography chosen, it's very, very clever.
