Iaido

Yeah, I was imagining Saga Prefecture because of all the places in Japan.

Because I practiced Iaido in England a little bit.

I started out doing Kendo and then got into Iaido.

i know the other way around actually i started doing iaido and got into kendo a bit later on just because of this interest in japanese culture and i think i saw like a movie late at night on tv as well like um do you know kozure okami

no

They don't have competitions, things like that.

So they're kind of more niche really.

So what I started practicing was called Iaido, and it was a school called Musou Jikiden Eishinryu, which is originally from Shikoku, but was practiced widely with kendo around Japan.

So that's Goju karate.

And I'm a fifth-degree black belt in Iaido.

which is the art of drawing the sword.

So it's all about the smoothness of the sword and the strike and the putting it away.
