Kat, can you tell us why there has been an increase in PIP claimants and what these headlines say to you about the narrative being written about ADHD?

I really didn't know much about Pip until I had to write a piece on it for the iPaper in which I was interviewing a selection of people about their experiences of being interviewed for it.

And very often the incredibly... depressing um ways of that these sort of things go one of them had had an incredibly intense stroke um and was unable to actually fulfill part of the assessment process and another was a girl who's at oxford and basically needs her pip so that she can pay for her power chair Because otherwise we sort of can't get around.
