I Swear

... um, a- and I really encourage you to watch this trailer 'cause I think it looks really good.

So Scott Ellis Watson, who you may remember as the young, uh, character, the young John in I Swear last year, a fantastic young actor.

I Swear.

No, the other film.

Oh.

Which, of course, I'm teasing because, you know, obviously it did absolutely wonderfully across the international marketplace.

Another very similar success story on a small British independent film is a film called I Swear, which equally did, you know, really well in the global box office and particularly in the UK box office.

It's a British film.

and took home three BAFTAs.

But you brought up Tourette's a couple of times and it made me think of, I watched an amazing movie and I don't normally do this, but I want to look it up.

It's called, I Swear.

It came out in 2025.

I think it probably won some awards about a guy who had Tourette's.

That's happening with, uh, Indy Navarette.

Uh, then we got I Swear.

I Swear, um, yeah, I wonder how much the BAFTA controversy is playing into it.

Well, it also came out too early-

When 19 came out and I first heard it, I thought, that is genius.

And then it kind of got slagged.

Do you know what? When you think of the angles you could have taken about the Vietnam War, number one, no one was talking about the Vietnam War and then there were three films about it a year later.

but also the angle that he took about the age of the souls.

That studio day, we actually recorded four different songs and then we've recorded another four since.

And there's one song I'm really looking forward to releasing, which is inspired by the film I Swear.

People might remember it one of after earlier this year, the film about the kid with Tourette syndrome.

Oh, yes.

Yeah.

Yeah.

it's called lost boy and that song was actually really cool because the rest of the band had gone to see this i swear film but somehow i'd ended up left off the roster to go and see it so of course when they came back to band practice i was like well i didn't get to go and experience this you need to kind of explain why don't you tell us about the film and shamara and Ollie, who were the main ones to go and see it because they were part of Unanima Theatre Company and it was part of some project that they were doing, told us about the film and we wrote the lyrics inspired by basically trying to tell the story of the film in song.

And the plan is, once we actually release it, my plan is to send it on to the film directors who worked on I Swear, send it up to them and see what they think of it.

A supposed true story about this guy that had Tourette's.

It's called I Swear.

Get it? 96% on Rotten Tomatoes by critics, 98% by the regular public.

This movie is fucking fantastic.

I'm quite sure it was Sinners.

And then he got this guy with Tourette's in real life.

The story, I swear, is based on him.

He yells out the N word.

Okay.

After that I saw, I Swear, which was another movie I should have seen earlier this year but I didn't.
