I Musici

The Venice Baroque Orchestra, founded in nineteen ninety-seven by the harpsichordist and Baroque scholar Andrea Marcon, is recognized as one of the finest period instrument ensembles in the world and has a particular association with Vivaldi's Venetian heritage.

I Musici, the Italian string orchestra founded in Rome in the early nineteen fifties, played a historic role in the popular rediscovery of The Four Seasons with recordings that made Vivaldi's name known to millions who had never heard of him before.

There is also The Vivaldi Project, a period instrument ensemble based in the United States that takes its name from the composer in recognition of what its founders describe as his pivotal position between the earlier Baroque and later classical composers.

The Fondazione Accademia Vivaldi della Svizzera Italiana, based in Morlauto in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino in Switzerland, promotes music education with a particular focus on strings and chamber music in the Vivaldi tradition.
