I Heard Her Call My Name: A Memoir of Transition

Lucy has been a fixture in the New York literary and creative scene since the 1970s.

She has written numerous books, which I highly recommend, including Low Life, Evidence, which we discuss, Kill All Your Darlings, and her most recent book is a very personal memoir called I Heard Her Call My Name, which is a very touching memoir, and I think it's definitely worth your time.

However, I really wanted to speak with Lucy about her extensive writing on the subject of photography.

We also get into her roots of growing up in New Jersey and making her way to New York City in the 1970s.
