Following this, she appeared in the low-budget rabid hippie horror I Drink Your Blood, and then won her role as Kathy in The Crazies.

Two years later, she would also appear in David Cronenberg's Shivers, and this trilogy of horror films have gained her something of a cult status.

Although she briefly retired from acting in the 1980s because she was tired of what she called Hollywood bullshit, since the early 2000s she has returned to the horror genre, appearing in a cameo in The Crazies remake, and in the films The Theatre Bazaar in 2011, Torture Chamber in 2013, and 2023's The Pocket Film of Superstitions, to name just a few.

I do think this isn't as gross as, say, I Drink Your Blood, but it's pretty gross.

A young boy infects an entire town with rabies and turns a group of men into a band of bloodthirsty zombies ravaging a peaceful countryside.

This was a trashy, very exploitative, very scummy movie that was kind of wild and I was there for it just because it continued to escalate and get weirder and weirder.

The kid with a syringe sneaks in, takes a bunch of blood from this rabid animal, injects it into meat pies that his family makes for their little restaurant and serves it to the people in this cult when they come in to like, you know hold them up threaten them get all the free food and leave and so then you had this satan cult just completely devolving into madness as they all get rabies little by little and start spreading the rabies throughout the rest of town and so you end up having this weird like zombie-esque kind of plague outbreak boy this movie was wild it's incredible incredibly trashy it is incredibly mean spirited and nasty but there was something about it where I was like okay this is at least interesting and has a very strange vibe and regional filmmaking kind of feel because I have never seen anything else from this director you have never seen any of the stars of this movie and anything else and It just feels like this weird one-off isolated kind of thing.

A lot of slow parts, a lot of lulls, but then you get to that ending and you're like, this makes it really worth it.

There are some cool shots in Teenage Tramp, and I think it's less due to Holden, but more credit to the cinematographer Jacques DeMarco, who shot I Drink Your Blood.

So I thought that that was a goddamn travesty that we did a psychedelic episode where I Drink Your Blood made top five, but fucking brain damage, maybe the greatest psychedelic drug horror film I've ever seen.
CoryHOST
53:25
So in honor of that, I thought that we would do top five drugs to take while you watch horror movies.
