But also, regardless, she's obviously just went, "This is gonna be great for me to win," because if you've won that, you can use that for your benefit elsewhere.

I didn't know I was affecting other people's races.

I was so wrapped up in my race and trying to win in racing Alyssa and we had our battle at Worlds and I was just into it and I was in the moment and I made a really bad decision and I apologize and I'm sorry to everybody

and

I'm really sorry to the workers who had to clean that up and

I'm feeling the pressure financially with, you know, are pe- are, are brands going to keep betting on me? Am I going to get the support that I had once before? And I've, I had a lot of that success early on and it's definitely changed because, you know, I've really struggled and business is business and that's fine.

But Hunter said to me at Worlds, "You have everything that you need in life." He was like, "You want it, you have that, you've achieved the highest level.

You have an amazing partner."

This doesn't sound like the Hunter that I know.

Yeah.

I've won a North American championship.

I have finished second at Worlds.

I have finished fourth at Worlds, and I've been on the podium in doubles with Ryland.

in the week.

And then also I got a couple of sponsorship deals when I won the Worlds with Jake, which was a little bit of extra money as well.

So I wasn't as financially as comfortable as I could be, and I was as an electrician, but I was enough to provide and to still pursue the dream.

So yeah, it wasn't just like a case of just going all in straight away.

So that's where we met.

And obviously...

George got friendly with with Jake and stuff and it just all kind of I think it progressed a little bit from there so I got to know Jake from the gym got to know George from the gym George set up 247 we did a few competitions together like in-house gym competitions George kitted us all out with the stuff obviously then Jake left to go and work for George and me and Jake decided to have a go at a doubles partnership Jake was obviously supported by 247 and And then we won the Worlds together.

And then it just kind of came from there.

... for a lot of reasons, you know? Yeah.

Is this the first time you've met up with Denise since the Worlds?

Yeah, first time.

I'm really looking forward to pulling the pin now 'cause I've done a lot of endurance work before the Worlds-

So we're gonna make, if it's not this episode, which I had asked you before that I wanted to do, gonna make our Worlds predictions and our Hamburg predictions in one episode.

Um, so are we gonna do this this episode or next?

It's gonna have to be next episode, yeah.

Yeah, and even like I've not struggled with burpees, but I've disliked burpees in the past.

And at Worlds, that's kind of, I think, where I put the ground on the field or kind of sealed the deal a little bit.

So, yeah, finding areas that didn't used to be as strong that are starting to get to that point.

Yeah, burpees were crazy, too.

So it's not like who's at the race.

Yes, correct.

But going forward, the Elite 15 races, there's five of them every year plus Worlds.

Those are going to be on like a standardized, like what they call grid course going forward.
