In the story of Eros and Psyche, she appeared to the young woman in a temple to warn her about the anger of Aphrodite, though she could not directly help her for fear of causing a conflict between the gods.

A man named Hyrax was also rewarded with successful harvests for his devotion, though he was later turned into a hawk by Poseidon when the two gods had a dispute.

Beyond crops, she was a protector of the young, as seen when she raised the son of a man named Plimaeus after his other children had died in infancy.

She was also credited with raising Trophonius, a prophetic figure from ancient times.
