And what became Obamacare, the Affordable Care Act was going through Congress at the time.

In the U.S. House, they passed the equivalent of what we understand to be the Hyde Amendment that would prevent any public funding from going to pay for abortion.

And then it became very contentious in the Senate.

And when Obamacare passed, I remember the day pretty well.

New Jersey Congressman Chris Smith spoke to The Daily Wire, stating, "Today's GAO report confirms the very concerns that Republicans have raised for over 15 years.

The ACA fails to apply the longstanding and bipartisan Hyde Amendment law, which protects taxpayer dollars from funding abortion, both directly and through federal health plans." Representative Smith, along with Roger Wicker in the Senate, are now proposing legislation to make certain that Obamacare plans abide by the Hyde Amendment.

There appears to be a new deadly drug on the market.

A 16-year-old was found having passed away in his bed from an overdose.

That's what it was always gonna be.

Okay, got rid of Roe, but he also has enforced the Hyde Amendment prohibiting the use of federal funds to pay for abortions.

He's i- reinstated and expanded the Mexico City Policy that Reagan started and, of course, Obama and Biden and Clinton all ended while they were president.

The Mexico City Policy prohibits federal funding of foreign abortions.

So they're taking them out.

Of course, the president hinted around about watering down the Hyde Amendment.

And that was a big disappointment to pro-life voters.

That law has been in effect since 1976.

We have HHS rescinded Obama-era guidance that promoted and mandated abortions and abortion coverage by insurance companies.

We have HHS rolling back Biden policy guaranteeing taxpayer funding for abortion for illegal aliens.

We have enforcing the Hyde Amendment.

We have rescinding Biden-era executive orders that allowed Medicaid funds to pay for the travel and costs of abortion.

Um, Tom, I know y- you have to go and you're gonna go defend the unborn, defend the Hyde Amendment up there on Capitol Hill in the swamp, and we, yeah, thank you for, for speaking louder, [laughs] for the-

All right.

Well, it's, it...

I said, well, we've never had a Black woman as co-chair.

Will you be the first one? So she mentored me and guided me on how to make the case and to talk about the Hyde Amendment, which was a no-no for Democrats even, which provided abortion access to low-income and poor women, primarily Black and brown women.

And so bottom line is she helped me navigate how to repeal the Hyde Amendment.

And we did that several times in Congress, but of course the Senate did.

stopped it from moving forward.

And so now we have a pro-choice, pro-reproductive freedom caucus in Congress.

And I believe Ayanna Pressley stepped up.

As a co-chair, and she's leading to repeal the Hyde Amendment.

And a half a century nightmare has finally ended and more babies will live as a result of it.

Since returning to office, Trump has enforced the Hyde Amendment also, prohibiting the use of federal funds to pay for any abortions.

And he reinstated and expanded the Mexico City policy, prohibiting federal funding of foreign abortions.

ending federal fetal tissue research, strengthening conscience protections, and protected Medicaid from funding large abortion providers, and pardoned 23 pro-life activists that were persecuted by Joe Biden's weaponized Justice Department.
