Hutchinson Island

So one of our goals is to provide access to the water.

And we had a project manager, Zach Hughes, who was looking at some maps on Hutchinson Island.

And he was looking at these old mosquito ditches that were engineered and built 100 years ago to help with managing the mosquito population.

And there was one that was just kind of really overgrown, but the contour or the LIDAR maps were showing that that was still very much there.

And this is...

This is one that I've experienced actually several times and I'm down on Hutchinson Island or somewhere and there's somebody that going through that went through and just leave the holes and the sand that they scooped out right on the side.

And I don't know why it's so difficult to fill them in, tamp them down a little.

Yeah, someone's going to see that you dug there, but they're not going to know that if they didn't see you.
