But there's a very large storm that Jeff has been watching for days.

Jeff, tell me where Hurricane Polo is and what is expected for Mexico and for Southern California in these next days.

Hurricane Polo, which is kind of parked off of Mexico and the peninsula of Baja, California, which is also Mexico.

That's that strip of land you see hanging south of California.

That is being threatened by this Category 5 hurricane.

Hurricane Nolo is moving toward Hawaii, with its outer bands already reaching the big island and forecasters warning of potentially catastrophic flooding.

Farther east, Category 4 Hurricane Polo, with maximum sustained winds of one hundred forty miles-- forty-five miles an hour, is threatening Baja California Sur, where a hurricane watch is in effect.

The Pacific's already seen an extremely active hurricane season, with climate scientists pointing to the powerful Super El Niño pattern as a major factor.

It's the exact opposite for the Pacific Ocean.

The Pacific has already seen eighteen hurricanes, more than the average, and these storms can be really strong.

Gabriel Vecchi, a professor of geosciences at Princeton University, said Hurricane Polo increased faster than any hurricane he's ever seen.

It's a tale of two basins, the Pacific incredibly active and the North Atlantic incredibly inactive.

Meanwhile, forecasters are also tracking Hurricane Polo off the coast of Mexico.

Forecasters are tracking two major storms in the Pacific.

Hurricane Polo is making its way toward Baja, California, Sir, with wind speeds of one hundred sixty-five miles per hour.

Wind and rain from Hurricane Nolo are starting to come ashore on the big island of Hawaii.

Bill Dorman from Hawaii Public Radio reports it's the third hurricane to threaten the state in the last six weeks.

Oh, that was Robert Ray talking about Hurricane Nolo, which is heading towards Hawaii with 100 mile an hour winds.

And the other hurricane in the Pacific is Hurricane Polo, 145 mile an hour winds.

Residents there could get up to 15 inches of rain.

And Hurricane Polo is churning off Mexico's western coast now as a category five hurricane.

That storm's expected to hit the Baja California Peninsula tomorrow.

President Trump has reportedly declined Iran's proposal for a seven-day ceasefire and expects to resume bombing in Iran after midterms.

Forecasters are warning the island could see 10 to 15 inches of rain and 50 mile per hour wind gusts.

Meanwhile, Hurricane Polo is churning off Mexico's western coast as a Category 5 hurricane.

It is expected to turn toward the Baja California Peninsula.

Storm conditions there are expected to begin late Sunday into Monday.
