Huron County

Listen to Stein Olson & Stang CPAs High School Volleyball on 92.9 FM and WLKRClassic.com.

[crowd cheering] Good evening, and welcome to Huron High School.

It's the Stein Olson & Stang CPAs High School Volleyball Match of the Week tonight as the Huron Lady Tigers host the Norwalk Lady Truckers in Northern Ohio Conference crossover action.

[whistle blows] Thanks for joining us tonight.

I'm Chris Morgan alongside Josh Bowman, and, oh boy, we've got quite the matchup here getting into the second half of the season tonight, Josh.

Yeah, both teams, uh, double-digit wins heading into this one.

Norwalk checking in at 10 and 4, coming off a straight-set win against Clyde Tuesday.

And then Huron, 12 and 3 on the season.

I've dealt with counties of all different sizes.

I was in Huron County, which is very small.

I've worked in Cuyahoga County, which as we know is pretty big.

And I'm currently working in Medina County, which is sort of somewhere in the middle.

They are top-notch all the way and a high-quality team.

But Huron, a very good team as well, and Huron likes to schedule teams like that to get them ready for a long postseason run.

That's why Huron is as good as they are.

And speaking of Huron, it'll be back-to-back Lady Tigers broadcast between the two stations, Saturday on K96 and then next Thursday, October 1st, we will have Norwalk on the road against Huron.

It can't be October 1st, right? It's only the 21st here.

Yeah, let's see, 28.

So expect a really good battle between Firelands Conference and an NOC crossover coming up on Monday night.

And don't forget, K96 will have high school volleyball, the special Huron matches that we're doing later on this month on the 26th, Saturday, 2 o'clock, Gilmore Academy at Huron.

But with that, St. Paul with a five-set win here tonight at home over Monroeville to remain perfect in the early season in 2026.

7-0 overall, 5-0 in a Firelands Conference play for Monroeville.

Yeah, let's talk about that.

Uh, tonight's other volleyball matches in the area include Sandusky at Perkins, Port Clinton's at Huron tonight.

Edison is at Bellevue.

In the Firelands Conference, St. Paul visits Plymouth tonight.

You can.

And, uh, for Norwalk, like we said, some big matches ahead.

And, uh, I know w- we have a match of theirs, uh, at Huron coming up here in a couple weeks, so that should be fun.

But we're also looking forward to our next Stein Olson & Stang, uh, high school volleyball broadcast, uh, coming up next Tuesday.
