Huntsville

They, uh, they beat Pottsville last week.

Uh, and, and then Gravette, Gravette put like 70 on Huntsville last week.

[laughs]

Gravette's playing well.

Welcome back to the 479 Show.

Coming up in the 479, the week of Columbus Day, we'll find our local and county governments hard at work with Greenland and Huntsville among those city councils starting the week with Springdale, Rogers, Bentonville, and Centerton among those taking up the mantle later on.

The Benton and Washington County Quorum Courts will continue their budget deliberations with the latter also holding its regular session.

The Springdale Board of Education also has its monthly get-together.

Elkins at Lincoln.

Green Forest at Gentry, and Huntsville at Gravette.

Maybe not the most competitive weekend in the 4A round here, but, uh, there's some good four and five A games around the state, Tom.

Give us a couple other good games elsewhere, outside of NWA, if you would.

So on the route, they decided to stop by the Frederick's 7-Eleven to buy some hot dogs to roast during their fishing trip.

The Frederick's Grocery & Service station was located at the intersection of Highway 68 and 23 in the northwest portion of Huntsville, Arkansas.

In a small town, it's a popular destination to get early morning gas or late night snacks, and back in 1977, it was open 24 hours a day.

As Charles, Loy, and Ronnie pulled up to the store, two women pulled up right behind them.

They determined that Rex had been shot multiple times, once in the left side, once in the shoulder, and once in the arm, and near the body they found three expended thirty-eight caliber cartridges with the brand name Remington Peters.

When police were talking to the witnesses, all of their stories were basically exactly the same.

But before they left the scene, Ronnie told police that Lloyd and Charles had mentioned seeing a car, a black 1971 Camaro or Firebird, headed from the direction of the store going east on Highway 68 toward Huntsville.

In addition to the Camaro, police were also exploring leads on other vehicles in the area and looking to talk to anyone who went into or came by the store that night, and it didn't take long to find them.
