So the responsibility of making the call fell to the first base umpire, Edwin Moscoso, who was not as close at first base as Hunter Wendelstedt would have been if he didn't have to be covering second.

So from his first base perch, which is pretty much near the line, behind the bag, he calls that it was a trap.

Well, obviously the Red Sox challenged because it was really close.

Uh, a slider that was just dotted on the outside corner, the down and away outside corner.

It was a complete missed strike by the umpire Hunter Wendelstedt, who is just a horrible, horrible umpire.

One of the worst in the game, and there were so many challenges in this game, and it basically just shows you how bad of a umpire Hunter Wendelstedt really is.
