Hunter Gaddis

He's not running hot in his bullpen.

Tim Heron, Eric Cebrowski, Hunter Gaddis, Cade Smith.

The leverage guys are going to be the guys that he leans on.

He's made it clear the last several weeks of this season, hey, I love you guys.

He had some saves last year.

You've got the logical choice, I guess, would be Hunter Gaddis.

You've got Heron, you know, so, I mean, those are the guys you kind of, you know, really hung your hat on in the postseason.

But, you know, it really was interesting, this, you know, in the first games of the wild card, you know, Don Mattingly, the Phillies, you know, went with Duran, his closer, for the last two innings and got beat because of it.

I did think about the fact that they use Espino twice in two days in a row if they might move him off of that opener role to try to make him a guy that they're going to use in the back end of the bullpen so they don't have to try to save him to be the opener for the third game.

Obviously, that came to mind because Hunter Gaddis has been on the struggle bus lately.

I would feel a little more comfortable right now with Espino in the 7th, Zabrowski in the 8th, and Cade Smith.

Or even if you want to back it up for a game and say 6th Espino, 7th Zabrowski, and Smith for two innings.

Maybe other people did, but, like, four pitchers were not even available.

You, you couldn't have Zabowski, Heron, Gaddis, or Espino in that game.

So they had a really limited bench on who you could go to.

So if Tanner doesn't settle in, they're in trouble because yeah, they could go to Cecconi, but they don't have a lot of guys to go to.

Yeah.

And, you know, then you come back and Cleveland just keeps battling.

And, you know, I'll point out again, Hunter Gaddis in now eight opportunities in two runner last games has, has either failed to get it out of the inning or has given up a run.

Like, he is really the, you know, the leverage in the stats are pointing to him performing well, but just very basic bottom line.

So if they decide to not go with Parker Messick because they need him for some sort of a series or something like that, you still have good options.

Tim Aaron, Eric Sobrowski, Hunter Gaddis, Kate Smith.

These Volbin guys have gone out there and have been able to give you an ERA that is a 3 or lower.

And additionally, you can get a little bit of long relief out of Sean Armstrong.

He's been shutout baseball 15 straight innings since coming out of the bullpen behind an opener.

Hunter Gaddis, Erick Zabowski, Cade Smith, three scoreless innings.

They make an Angel Martinez home run.

That's only a home run in Boston.

And not only did they.

Look, Hunter Gaddis came in, gave up a home run in the eighth to tie the game.

Mm-hmm.

And then he got out of the inning.
