So could it be that the teams like with really good, really good aero and downforce on their chassis, sorry, chassis for you Americans, is then it becomes a disadvantage and you get a team like Alpine in qualifying who maybe have no like great downforce points from the chassis but aren't particularly draggy as in resistance to the air that isn't generating useful downforce so maybe they're just efficient but it's not like driving the car down whereas McLaren have good efficient ways of turning that drag into downforce which they just can't strip away for Monza so I've got a feeling it might be track specific the two tracks they just won on a very similar Hungaroring and Zandvoort in terms of those kind of requirements.
