Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person

Uh, I cover any and all vampire movies not covered by other Movie Minute podcast shows.

Currently we're covering, um, Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person.

Yes, and so-

Such a great movie.

and on the Tukumlup's Te Sekwepem territory within the unceded traditional lands of Sekwepem Ulu.

And today's text, the film Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person, was filmed in Montreal, Quebec, the traditional home of the Gananagé Nation, also known as the Mohawk people.

Joe.

Yes.

Anyway.

Yeah.

okay so humanist vampire seeking consenting suicidal person is 90 fresh on rotten tomatoes hell yeah it is 3.9 out of 5 on letterboxd yeah much like finding emily last week this is a film that the people who have discovered it have really enjoyed it and i think it'd be hard to quibble otherwise right like this is just really really well executed i

don't think it puts a foot wrong, you know, Joe? Like when I think, I know you're going to get to the cast and everything, but I just, as I was going through the plot points, there wasn't a point where I was like, oh yeah, that bit was a hard note.

But, uh, it, it has a really great, solid performance from this young kid named, uh, Felix Munger, who they-- Basically everyone is, is playing a character of their own name, so he's playing someone named Felix.

Uh, but most importantly, this also has Sara Montpetit, who, um, most people who probably would recognize for "Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person," the movie with the greatest title of all time-

[laughs]

... where she played the, the lead humanist vampire who was seeking a consenting suicidal person to kill.

I'm watching it now and I'm like, honestly, you start stacking this up against some of the premises of some of the movies we've done.

I mean, House of a Thousand Corpses, Boxing Helena, When Evil Lurks, fucking not irreversible, Humanist Vampire.

Like, there's been... very out there premises.

Oh yeah.
