For Best Novella, the winner was The River Has Roots by Amal El-Motar.

Best Novelette was Never Eaten Vegetables by H.H.

Pack.

but, uh, who knows? It doesn't necessarily mean it'll happen, but, uh, but yeah, it seemed like that one had a good amount of buzz, um, toward the end.

The River Has Roots, I was excited about for Best Novella by Amal El-Motar.

And she mentioned that poetry is where she started writing and the first time she came to Worldcon, it was in Anaheim and it was to attend a speculative poetry reading.

That was like the thing that drew her to Worldcon.

It's a novella.

It got the Hugo Award winner for Best Novella and Nebula and Locus Awards for winners for Best Novella for a good reason.

God damn.

So I would say if you are feeling intimidated, especially on the size of some of these books, because we all know that a fantasy novel can be a chonker.

N- the Best Novella category is also a lot of fun, but I read my way through the Best Novel category this year, and I think that, I really do think that there's, like, something for everybody there.
