It doesn't actually matter what Hugh Grant's job is in Four Weddings and a Funeral because we're interested in his romantic relationships, his friendships, and what he's doing at a wedding.

His job doesn't necessarily affect that.

And even, and you reference it casually, uh, His Girl Friday with Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell, they're reporters in that movie, and that movie cares very much about journalism, journalistic integrity.

But this is very different.

This is the story of Eddie, who, you know, remember in the first series, he surprisingly inherits the father's estate because the brothers are coke fiend, basically, and are drunk and bloody hopeless.
