Mm-hmm.

Um, and you just can't come up with one.

But I, I got this phone call, and they were basically saying, "We're pushing back the music from its release date," and it was towards the end of the tour.

They're like, "We can't put it out while we're on tour." Um, long story short, that same phone call happened for four months straight until we put a paper in front of them and said, "Give us a date.

You set a, you set a date.

Let's put it on paper.

If you can't pay for my album by this time, we're walking."

Yeah.

So when you were moving from content creator to musician, did you feel any sense of like, oh, are people going to take me seriously?

When you're kind of finding yourself along the way, there's a lot of self-doubt that you might have.

But I think your main goal is to kind of like tune it all out and just sort of try and be who you are.

And I think that that kind of comes with a lot of trial and error.

And it's been really fun to watch everybody go from their journey from Hype House because...

We set our intentions with making it in the beginning, which was, we know this is going to be a short-lived fun moment with all of our friends.

For your fans that have grown up with you basically over these last few years, what do you want them to know about Chase Hudson now that they may not know when listening to this album?

But what makes Huddie so emo?

Um, I think honestly it's the spirit.

It's the spirit of Huddie.

Honestly, it's come down to, I'm a musician because I love music.

And I just, I feel it in my bones and I really love instrumentation and production and lyrics.

And, um, giving people a feeling that they can relate to I find so much joy and pride in that and I Think yeah, it's more in the spirit than it is like the look, you know I've definitely met a more emo person than me in my life But yeah, I think it's a spirit

What made you want to pivot sonically in that way?

I think it was just where I was going.
