Howard Storm

Uh, but this was a story of, of an, um, a art professor, and his name was Howard Stern.

Okay.

And it's crazy 'cause I think he was on the Art Bell show, too.

And one thing she would do as a mentor, she would give me books and things like that.

And she gave me this book or told me to get this book by Howard Storm.

It was about a man who had died and went to hell, uh, and heaven.

He was an atheist.

Love and serve the people you are with.

It reminds me of Howard Storm, a college professor, former college professor who died and went to hell.

And I met him personally.

And I remember that's what he told me.

And you mentioned atheists, uh, having these near-death experiences when really they'd expect nothing, and some of them seeing Jesus.

But you talk about Howard Storm in your book, and he's got a remarkable story.

Could you, like, tell the listeners about that one?

one?Yeah, I'll just give you the, uh, the- the quick version of this, because it's a long elaborate story.

But the- the brief version is Howard Storm was a, um, a- an art professor at the University of Kentucky, and, uh, atheist, and a bit of an evangelistic atheist, one who was, um, wore it on his sleeve and- and really was insistent that people should see the world the way he does.

Well, he nearly died when he was in- in, uh, I think he was on vacation in France.

And in this, uh, in his NDE, he was, uh, essentially laying in his hospital bed, and he was called into the hospital corridor, people calling his name, and he got up.

I mean, that- that's clearly not going to work." But he couldn't do anything else, so he basically started praying this kinda odd prayer that, you know, he- he wasn't a prayer, he wasn't a Christian, he wasn't a believer in any way, but he would say things like, "For Purple Mountain Majesty," and, "The Lord is my shepherd," and, "God bless America," and anything that could come to mind that had some sort of deity in it.

So if you don't want to go the direction you're going right now, step back and be objective because otherwise you're in a subjective state and you'll be in a subjective state forever if you don't change it now.

And so I will just refer to the story of Howard Storm.

Have you ever heard of Howard Storm near-death experience?

Not sure.

very famous person who was an atheist art teacher, took some students to France on an excursion, ends up out in the French countryside where nobody speaks English, and he has this health crisis, and he dies in the hospital because there's nobody there to work on him, and he's...

So you go there alone, and that's part of the hell is the desolation and the despair of being in a place that's so desolate and a lo- alone- loneliness.

There's a wonderful witness from a man named, uh, Howard Storm, S-T-O-R-M.

Not the shock jock radio guy, but Storm.

He was an art teacher, uh, in the Midwest and was an atheist, self-professed atheist, but also said he was a good person.

Yeah.

So I think 24% may be a little conservative, but I'll tell you a story about, um, Howard Storm.

Howard was an atheist, very successful in art.

He had a tenured position at a secular university.

they were living in life, how they explain?

Well, there's this case [clears throat] of Howard Storm.

Uh, he wrote a book about this as well.

He, he was, um...

And in, in, in all religions there is God.

And who was this? This was the, the, um, Roman Catholic priest?

There was Howard Storm.

Howard Storm was a, a guy who had a, a, a problem when he was in Paris.
