Houyhnhnm

Gulliver's Travels, a satire on humanity and its morals, manners, art, and politics.

It takes the form of Lemuel Gulliver's journeys through his four strange lands, Lilliput, Brobdingnag, Laputa, and the country of the Houyhnhnms.

Let's hear a sample of Gulliver's Travels, 300 years old, um, by Jonathan Swift.

It's narrated by John Richmond.

It is a razor-sharp critique of intellect that is completely devoid of practical morality or common sense.

But then we get to the fourth voyage, which is the one that still genuinely divides readers and literary critics to this day, the land of the Houyhnhnms.

Yes.

In this land, rational, highly logical, perfectly serene horses are the rulers.
