Maybe they won't have an answer.

But we've been covering this for seven months of the TV, and there have been so many talents who have left the territory on television, but they remain on the house shows for weeks after they're no longer needed.

They're not being pushed.

Sometimes they're not in the Coliseum.

September 12, 1987, he made his televised debut defeating Nikolai Volkov and kicking off the famous Battle from Bam Bam Manager storyline with Aldrin Hopperdink.

Well, well, I have never confirmed this, I've never asked anyone, but, uh, you know, hear tell of a lot of the TV tapings, guys would not get paid.

They were there to promote the house shows and make the money off the house shows.

They were there to draw that.

The job guys, the enhancement talent, would get a couple bucks.

Now this is a interesting situation.

El Mongol, who was literally in the last days of his career here in 1982, he's been working TV, and we know he popped up on a Omni show or two, but he's not working any of the house shows at this point.

He's not working any show beyond the TV, but here he is again popping up on the television program, scoring a victory over Mike Thompson.

I'm wondering if maybe Ole out of respect, out of his past, out of, you know, drawing the house, out of really keeping Georgia e- very much going and selling the a- arenas way back when in the 1960s going into the '70s- I'm wondering if he's just getting a $25 paycheck here or something along those lines just to pop up on TV and do this because I can't see any other reason why El Mongol would just come out with a full head of hair now looking like a normal human being rather than a, quote, unquote, "Mongol," and then continues to work these TV station matches.

They plan this thing out to go two, three months.

And that's hard to do when you're wrestling live on Monday nights or when you're doing house shows every week.

And, you know, injuries happen, and that's just the way it goes.

I mean, house shows that we've been to still have people come out and cut promos about what was going on live on

television.

He, he ment- and you s- as you pointed out, I don't know if they ever meet those conditions.

Gino's actually gonna work a couple house shows up north for Georgia here, but that's about it, I believe, for his future in Georgia Championship Wrestling.

So, uh, to answer your question, no, I don't believe they ever agreed to Gino's conditions.

Not that it sounds like they would have, but wow, you gotta love the character, and I just wish they would have done more with him.
