Houghton

Where, where did you grow up?

I grew up in Houghton, New York.

Mm-hmm.

Uh, if you ever heard of Houghton College, that's where I grew up.

It's the middle of the Southern Tier.

It's very rural.

There's very little opportunity outside of working at Houghton College in that cou- in Allegany County, um, which is what prompted me to join the military and, um, to be able to get out, uh, and, and do some things and support myself.

Um, so yeah, I, I grew up, uh, pretty poor.

Okay.

In seventh place, we have Houghton University.

Okay.

And of course, they're in Houghton, New York.

They've gone from thirty point three million in fiscal year twenty nineteen, excuse me, to thirty-eight point seven million, so that's a twenty-seven point seventy-six percent increase.

Uh, most recent endowment, ninety-four point seven million.
