Hoster Tully

As the armies of the north gather at Moat Cailin, ravens fly to old allies in the Vale and the Riverlands.

Tywin initially hopes that Lord Hoster Tully will stop them, but the cunning old lord recalls the destruction wrought on the Riverlands in the last war.

Then he thinks of his daughter Catelyn, who still remains in the north.

At last, he issues his decree.

Though he reaffirms his loyalty to King Tywin, the Riverlands will not fight the Northmen.

He will send men to help Tywin fight in the Stepstones as a gesture of goodwill.

In the Stormlands, Robert mirrors Hoster Tully's sentiments.

He announces he will gladly fight the Targaryen threat, but will not raise his hammer against the Northmen.
