I was in the physics lab.

I was hired by Horst Störmer, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics the next year, and I think it represents the perfect blend of fundamental science, but in the service of technology, uh, that could be broadly beneficial to, to people trying to, you know, do s- do something that can, you know, benefit humanity.

[laughs] I guess maybe it's a lofty goal, but anyway, we w- want to get things out of the lab.
