29:37
One December morning, my alarm went off, and it was time to take my dog, Yoshi, out for his walk.
Mya BambrickGUEST

Mya BambrickGUEST
4:16
And then I sort of asked my mum if we could go to my local nature reserve, Warnham Local Nature Reserve in Horsham, West Sussex.

Hello, panel.
LisaUNKNOWN
36:15
Um, I'm Lisa, and I'm from Horsham in West Sussex, and I wanted to ask the panel, do you have a song or piece of music that you associate with a particular plant or a garden or-
Kathy ClugstonHOST
36:25
or-Or you simply use to inspire you to get out in the garden.
Kathy ClugstonHOST
36:28
Do you have one, Lisa?
Richard FreemanHOST

In fact, they never knew and will have to wait for longer.
Richard FreemanHOST
4:05
I'm focusing on West Sussex because my conversation in this episode is with John Milne MP, MP for Horsham.
Richard FreemanHOST
4:14
And what's interesting about this conversation is that John was already asking some fairly fundamental questions about the legitimacy of local government reorganisation.
Richard FreemanHOST
4:24
John is the Liberal Democrat MP for Horsham, and before entering Parliament he was a district and county councillor in West Sussex, and before that he spent much of his career as an advertising creative director.
Richard FreemanHOST
4:38
And his position is interesting because he makes the distinction between the two things that many people get confused about.
Richard FreemanHOST
4:45
Devolution, he welcomes.
Richard FreemanHOST
5:25
And he is worried that local assets such as theatres, parks, community facilities and other things that matter enormously to individual towns will become small items on a balance sheet of a much bigger organisation.
Richard FreemanHOST
5:38
A lot of this is why some of the arguments against the decisions that have been made are out there, and potentially why government is having to take stock.

I've been... arranging sponsorship with the brilliant uh fuck mob uh who were sponsored for two years um love great people there you get football and so it was really good to bring someone of that standing to like a non-league football club in southwest london um i've done so much uh the the raffle half time the the kids penalty shootout half time i've loved every bit of it and i have taken a step back literally in the last week a couple of weeks to be honest because it getting older i'm getting uh fc camisa was taking a lot and when you when you freelance as well which i am and i've done a few more bits freelance you you need the energies and like i said i'm getting a bit older and so i've taken a step back and also the club seems to be in in fairly safe hands after again unfortunately having a couple a season or two of some pretty um pretty disappointing owners who did not deliver what they promised but um The club this year has just had their pitch turned into, so the new owners that followed them, the less successful owners, shall we say, followed that up and invested heavily and turned it into, or make it a proper community club.
Seb WhiteGUEST
47:54
But Hampton Court's amazing.
Seb WhiteGUEST
47:56
And then come and watch some football.
Seb WhiteGUEST
47:57
But also that, there's Hamworth Villa, there's, Met Police, there's Walton and Horsham, there's all these other teams in the area as well.
Seb WhiteGUEST
48:05
Anywhere you go, get the Footballogy app and open it up, you will find football somewhere, won't you?
