Horseshoe Curve

We've got the, uh, Norfolk and Western Red Bird scheme, which is their passenger scheme, which I don't believe has been done in N scale before.

Got the Canadian National, the original green Canadian National scheme, and then we also have Pennsylvania Railroad in the correct paint scheme and road number for the one that's sitting at the Horseshoe Curve, so a nice, uh, collectible piece for that one.

We're also bringing out the, uh, Missouri Pacific style bay window transfer caboose in N scale, which we brought out in HO a few years ago.

That one's been, uh, very highly requested as well.

While I was there in grad school, I of course participated in the Penn State University Model Railroad Club, an actually rather revolutionary model railroad club that's responsible for the first ever shelf layout all the way back in, I think, 1952.

And of course, nowadays, the Penn State Model Railroad Club is still building layouts, which I of course helped to construct, but also doing fun things like excursions to Horseshoe Curve and on the East Broad Top getting private tours of the engine sheds.

Now, I was a member of the club during the pandemic, which I believe was my second year of grad school.

During lockdown, we actually all decided to Zoom PowerPoint presentations back and forth.

And in autumn, the trees burst into incredible fall colors, creating a truly breathtaking view.

Starting in Harbor Springs, the M119 becomes a tunnel of trees running 20 miles along the spectacular bluff overlooking Lake Michigan with especially sharp twists at Devil's Elbow and Horseshoe Curve.

Along the way, you'll be treated to unique shops, food, and learn how to learn some interesting history.
