And the numbers show that this is not just a hypothetical issue.

According to Horse & Hound, 282 jumping recorded warnings had been issued since January 1, 2026, and 13 suspensions had already resulted from riders accumulating two warnings within 12 months.

That means hundreds of incidences involving rider-induced blood have been recorded in only part of a single competition year.

The FEI may describe the warning system as a way to collect information, identify patterns, and punish repeat offenses.

And then I always wanted to work in something to do with the equine industry.

And thanks to Horse and Hound, I saw an ad in Horse and Hound, which was the beta job.

So I applied for it and got it and started working for beta in 2000.

Yeah, so totally no experience in that and running a trade association but I did and I truly do love what I do because no day is the same ever.
