Horror Western

So it's actually kind of something that I've wanted to do for a long time was do a horror story set in a Western setting, like the early frontier America.

And I actually had talked to Josh Williamson, who's one of the people that is overseeing the next level line at DC, about doing a horror Western many, many, many years ago.

Like really quickly after we first met, we knew that we'd like to collaborate together.

And he had pitched me on doing a horror Western.

And it's something that's been floating around in my head for a long time, but I just... you know, I had actually intended to do a Western story in Silver Coin, but we just never found the right spot for it.

And then when DC approached me about the idea of writing a next level book and drawing a next level book, I was going through their roster of characters, characters that haven't been at the front of the DC publishing slate in a long time.
