Hornsent

The tail end of that item's description mentions, "Spirits are eternal, and yet Frenzied Flame melts them away regardless.

No wonder the Hornsent forbid the flame's use." So that alone, I mean, we know, and we have experiences with Frenzied Flame from the base game, but that tells us part of the Hornsent's motives or potentially the direct motive, the whole motive for the Hornsent coming here and ransacking this place and doing what they did.

That tells us why Torrent is so afraid in pretty plain language.

Um, but also even think about the Frenzied Flame ending.

Not too under the weather, though, to dive back into the lore topic for this week.

Uh, last week, we came back from a break with the show, and we had a really fun episode about the, uh, divine warriors from Hornsent culture and, and near a limb.

So I encourage everybody that might have missed that to check that out.

And while I'm talking about the topic from last week, I also want to give two quick shout-outs.

I think you could also say the DLC is sort of the story of Mesmer.

But along with both of those children of Merica, the DLC is the story of the Hornsent.

We learn so much about this culture that is so pivotal to Merika's own story, so pivotal to parts of Mikala's story, obviously, Mesmer's story, obviously.

The horn scent are an incredibly prominent factor in the history of this world, both in the Land of Shadow, but also what ends up happening in the base game The gate of divinity that is at the top of Inira Lim is involved in Merika's rise.

It's involved in what Mikala is doing.

Everything the Hornsent did to Merika's people is an extremely motivating factor for what she becomes and why she does it the way she does it.

So...

The DLC, and this being the ending point, I mean, where else were we going to go besides back to the Hornsent culture to take a look at more of that society, more of that religious, those religious traditions, everything like that.
