Hoodoo

My first time seeing one was in Yellowstone National Park, and it was in 2015.

And I remember going to like, I think they call it the Hoodoos.

It's like this little hike area.

And, uh, we went up there, and I just remember seeing this little thing, and I was like, "What the heck is that? It's so freaking cute." And it was just this little ball and like tiny little round ears, and it was so adorable.

So if you're capable of doing some stairs in a short climb, but you don't want to commit to a long hike, it's a great option.

Now you've probably heard me talk about the longer trail that connects Surprise Corner all the way to the Banff Hoodoos.

That's very different.

That's not what I'm talking about.

That is definitely a hike.

Instead, if you did the walk to Surprise Corner, maybe you want to then drive over to the Hoodoos viewpoint on Tunnel Mountain Road and then walk around that viewpoint area, going to the different viewpoints and looking at the Hoodoos.

You know, this one doesn't have like a meaningful trail distance.

because you're simply wandering along the pathways between the viewpoints.

And they're hard to describe.

So if you're watching or listening, you should Google hoodoos, H-O-O-D-O-O.

And they're a very unique structure found in Bryce Canyon.

And I think that it has much of the same grandiosity as the Grand Canyon.
