Chapter 6 Children, be obedient to your parents, for that is right.

Honor your father and your mother, that is the first command with a promise, so that good may come to you, and you may have long continuance on the earth.

And fathers, do not irritate your children, but educate them in discipline and knowledge of the Lord.

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, in frank-heartedness as to Christ, not with eye-service as if flattering men, but like slaves of Christ doing God's will, working willingly from your soul as for the Lord and not for men, because you know that if anyone does anything well, he gives pleasure to the Lord, whether he is a slave or a free man.

Do not neglect hospitality, by which means some have unexpectedly entertained angels.

Remember the prisoners as fellow prisoners, for you also are yourselves in the body suffering like them.

Honor marriage with all, and the undefiled union, for God will judge fornicators and adulterers.

Let not your plan of life be avaricious.

The culture of tithing begins when you stop asking, how much must I give? And begin to recognize that everything you have belongs to God.

So tithing is a culture of honor.

Proverbs chapter 3, verse 9 to 10, it says, Honor the Lord your God with your possessions and with the first fruit of your increase.

So shall your bands be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine.

So it's a culture... of honor.

So God is interested not only in what leaves your hand, but also in the condition of your heart.

So cultivating a culture of tidy means recognize God as a source of everything you possess.

Honor God intentionally from your increase.

He addressed himself particularly to the students of Columbia College, the gentlemen of the bar, the Cincinnati Society, and the military.

It consisted of the Committee of Arrangements, orator, chaplain, his honor the Lieutenant Governor, judges of the Supreme Court, foreign consuls, strangers of distinction, and citizens, and included near one thousand persons.

Take delight in honouring each other.

And one of the reasons that I love that phrase, take delight in honouring each other, is because honour isn't just about having good manners.

Honour is kingdom culture.

Honour is kingdom culture.

And that means that the church should look different to the culture that's around us in the world.

Amen? Honour is kingdom culture.

And this church and the church, the greater church, should look different to what we experience in the world, right? Because the world has become incredibly comfortable with dishonour.

Would you agree? It's become incredibly comfortable with dishonor.

Don't treat people anyhow.

Are you following? Honor all men.

Don't do selective honor.

Listen, when you are selective about honor and you honor men based on their prospect, you are blind and you will always miss it.

Number what now? Number six.

Today, as we see years of dedicated service to the citizens of Shield County, in eight years leading as our sheriff, Mr. Ford Bonner, Jr., has given signals for the final time.

Throughout a career marked by unwavering commitment, honor, and integrity, Honor has served this county with courage, integrity, and compassion.

From the first call answered to the last shift completed, the impact made on the office, it affects all of you.

For your lifetime of service, sacrifice, and leadership, your existence helped me to wear the badge and honor the brand.
