Honor Flight Northeast Indiana will make its 58th flight to Washington, D.C. on September 30, officials announced Monday.

For the upcoming flight, 86 veterans are confirmed to participate, one from the Korean War, two from the Cold War, 82 from the Vietnam War, and one who served during Desert Shield slash Desert Storm.

Among those honored veterans are five Bronze Star recipients, one with two Oak Leaf clusters, four Purple Heart recipients, and one veteran awarded the Medal of Valor.

Honor Flight invites the public to welcome home the veterans by being at Fort Wayne International Airport by about 8.30 p.m. on September 30th and park in the long-term parking lot.

Participants are welcome to bring a folding chair to use while waiting for the group's return.

The club is currently fundraising to build a $1.6 million all-inclusive playground in Clarence, which is planned for spring 2027.

uh... who died at the pentagon was a little more tiger and play for fresno state uh... had a beautiful family here in town who he left behind i met them uh... and the incredible things uh... that that he did uh... serving the country When I went back, I believe it was on the first Honor Flight in 2013, I went to the Pentagon, myself and Dennis Silvis, the photojournalist who was with me, and we went to see the bench, the memorial there at the Pentagon, and found his memorial specifically so we could show everybody back home and tell more of the story about Vince Tolbert and what took place there.
