Hong Kong Garden

Was there a particular record that really woke you up in terms of music? And I presume it must have been from Susie and the Banshees at that time.

I mean, to a certain extent, Hong Kong Garden blew my mind, but I have to say Parallel Lines.

you know, the Blondie album absolutely spoke to me in a huge way.

It really did.

I really loved The Simple Minds from Glasgow.

And there's something about people that you've kind of grown alongside with doing well, and it makes you feel like it's possible.

And then, of course, I heard Hong Kong Garden and I genuinely, people do ask me about this, but I did genuinely carry around a copy of Hong Kong Garden for at least five years, just in case I found someone that hadn't heard it.

Because everyone had record players back then, so I'd be like, have you got this? Could you put that on for me, please?
