Based on a 50-60 series of novels by Gloria and Forrest Fickling, the ABC show featured Anne Francis as a no-nonsense karate-chopping private eye, much in the vein of Dame Diana Riggs' Emma Peel from The Avengers, a series that ABC had just secured the rights to air and would actually sort of replace the Honey West series early in 66 because it was cheaper to buy The Avengers than produce Honey West as a television show.

And tying this in, there was a one-shot comic adaptation from Gold Key back in 66, but I'm going to speak about the 2010-2013 Honey West This Girl for Hire series, which featured stories by Elaine Lee from Starstruck and our old pal, the late Trina Robbins.

Set in the swinging 60s, the comics have all the vibes of the TV show and its era.
