And yet, the very forefront of psychology and neuroscience over the past 20 years has been virtually unanimous that words are extremely important to address in our emotional vocabulary so you would have heard of i'm sure emotional intelligence the the best-selling book from 20 years ago emotional literacy the current forefront of both of those things has to do with the granularity of words and i don't need to be technical at all we do better in life when we can put words to our emotions it's really the core concept the the more appropriate words we have to fit the emotions we're feeling, the happier we are.

So that goes from top neuroscientists, Nobel laureates, Honda Prize winners, they're all in agreement that fitting words to emotions is the key to a calm disposition into happiness in life.

That's fascinating.

So simply being able to describe the emotions that we're feeling.
