See, even with HondaJet, ninety percent of those aircraft are enrolled with GE Honda.

Challenger 300s, eighty-three percent are enrolled with Honeywell.

Fleet after fleet, the market for ender-- engine coverage is one provider with ninety-plus percent, and everyone else is splitting the scraps.

The business jet picture is similar.

Light jets are moving the Citation, CJ Series, the Embraer Phenom 100 and 300, the Honda Jet.

These are finding buyers who want turbine reliability and genuine cabin space without the operating costs of a super midsize or large cabin aircraft at the larger end.

Demand is there too, driven by operators moving people on time-sensitive schedules where the math works in favor of a company-owned aircraft.

The original Citation was derided as the slowest jet in the world when it entered service, then found a market niche and launched a family of aircraft that has served general aviation operators for decades.

The HondaJet introduced an over-the-wing engine mount that every expert said would create aerodynamic problems, and it turned out Honda had done the computational fluid dynamics correctly.

Otto may be on to something real.
