Honda Grom

For the next one, I have a Grom.

My brother used to ride a Grom every single day.

He used to do Reading to Hounslow every day on a Grom.

No motorways because he was on a CBT.

I think we should also describe your brother because he's not like just an average build sort of guy, is he?

Yeah.

Yeah, I mean, I picked one that I like, but yeah, I mean, a lot of these are just for preference, isn't it, really? As you mentioned at the start of the segment, that any of these bikes you can ride all year round if you want to.

The seat is probably 22 inches off the ground or something like that.

Yeah, it's smaller than a Grom.

Yeah, it's smaller than a, than a Honda Grom.

It's a really little...

It's a mini bike.

She couldn't get away from motorcycles if she tried.

Um, and she's a huge supporter of all this riding motorcycles but has never been particularly interested herself.

Yeah, they're homies of mine, so I was just kind of.

Because there's a Grom guys that are called like the Goonies squad or something like that.

Well, yeah, you can get track tires for the Grom.

Track tires, yeah.

Yeah, and so you can get slicks even if you want.

So, yeah, I'm excited.

It's been fun, though.

You can see I got the Grom over there about ready to be pulled apart.

We missed Monterey Car Week again this year, which we're going to get into in this episode, obviously, with everything going on.

But a question that we kind of came up with while we were working on the Grom is...

God forbid if I was somewhere and I didn't have engine oil, could I use fork oil in my engine? Like, what's the difference? It's the same weights, right?

Same weights, but so hydraulic oil versus motor oil is basically the real question.

What kind of stuff are you into? And I was like, yeah, you know, off-roading road trips, motorcycles, car stuff.

He goes, Oh, motorcycles.

And I was like a Grom and a monkey.

It's like, I've had a lot of other bikes.

And somebody forwarded me an advertisement for a track by track slash race bike that was prepped on Facebook marketplace and reading down in it.

It was, you know, the guy was looking for I can't remember if it was four or five thousand dollars for the bike and all the spares and everything, but would consider trading for a Grom.

And so I sent the guy a message, and I said, hey, I've got a Grom.

And he said, well, send me pictures.

And within five minutes, he's like, when can I come pick it up? Now, the person I'm talking about is a guy by the name of Michael Lee, and he's number 351 with me.

That's why they buy Groms, right? That's, Grom's in between there.
