Most people take metformin, right, for their diabetes.

And the discussion here is, is even short-term treatment with metformin causes a decrease in serum folic acid and increase in Hcy, which leads to peripheral neuropathy in type 2 diabetes.

"A multicenter study with heterogeneous population would have increased the power of the study, and we suggested prophylactic vitamin B12 and folic acid supplementation or periodical assay in the metformin user." Oh, my gosh, drugs, drugs, drugs.

This is crazy.
