Homie the Clown

Uh, there's two pop culture references from this movie, um, that has those from, uh, Family Guy and The Simpsons.

And, uh, Family Guy had an episode where Peter [laughs] meets Richard Dreyfuss.

[laughs] God.

And he goes, there, he goes, "Oh, Richard Dreyfuss, you going to the bathroom? You having a close encounter of the turd kind?"

Yes.

I remember this episode.

And this week's episode is Homie the Clown.

Homie the Clown's one of those ones that, like, yeah, I didn't realize I knew as well as I did.

Home with the Clown, I think of as being a pretty noteworthy and famous episode, but yeah, to shoot my load early as it were, I was like, on balance, like, weirdly, I liked the Bart's comment a bit more, I think.

I mean, we'll get to Fat Tony in act three, but it's funny, we just recorded Homie the Clown.

I'm not sure when that goes live, before or after this, but we were remarking that this is his second appearance after Bart the Murderer and Homie the Clown, that they didn't use him for three years.

And then we remark that in the teens era especially, he is like the emergency character you drop in when you need high stakes in act three, and this is exactly what's happening in this episode.

I forget what follows Homie the Clown, but I bet it's also very good.
