Hegseth announced he's chairing a new Pentagon Homeland Defense board.

Um, the newly established Pentagon advisory board intended to provide military guidance on homeland security missions and address needs not covered by existing federal advisory committees.

Board will have up to 20 members, including Hegseth as the chair and the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and America's Security Affairs as vice chairs.

Will also include the Deputy Assistant Sec- uh, I don't care who's on it.

The board's establishing documents say the Pentagon needs independent consensus-based advice on homeland defense that is not available at, from other federal advisory committees or agencies.

They say existing advisory bodies at the DHS and the State Department have different mandates and cannot provide the military-specific guidance needed for domestic troop employ- uh, deployments, military crises, and campaign planning in the Americas.

So that, that is more notable.

The Department of Justice said all state government agencies are required by federal law to report illegal aliens to federal authorities.

In Homeland news, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Mullen announced that ICE arrested over 2,000 illegal aliens during the month-long Operation Rotten Apple in New York.

Joint Task Force Southern Border used a laser to destroy cartel-linked drones over the southern border on 25 to 26 August.

This is the first reported use of a laser system being used along the southern border.

Uh, I think it's about s- uh, I know it's, it's about 6.5, 6.6 million barrels per day, and that is one of the potential levers that the Trump administration has to, to pull to lower gasoline and diesel fuel prices domestically, would be some sort of either restriction or a voluntary agreement by the refineries to not sell, uh, these refined products overseas and thereby lowering the fuel prices here in the United States.

Now, in, uh, homeland operations, uh, Robert Department of Homeland Security Secretary Mark Wayne Mullen announced that ICE arrested, uh, almost 2,200 illegal aliens during the month-long Operation Rotten Apple in New York.

Mullen said Operation Rotten Apple took place from 27 July to 29 August.
