She's the purchasing manager at Casa Fresca Homes, who is a wholly owned subsidiary of Homes by West Bay, one of Florida's most respected privately owned home builders.

Lisa brings nearly two decades of experience across construction, operations, project management, property, investment purchasing, and process improvement.

Her career has taken her from residential remodeling and managing investment properties to construction leadership, scopes of work, trade partner collaboration, and now purchasing.

You've worked in remodeling, operations, construction, process improvement, trade partner coordination, so on and so forth, and now purchasing.

That gives you practically a view of what happens behind the scenes inside a growing home building operation business, right? Yeah.

We'd love to start with your personal journey, talk about your leadership, operational excellence, and finally get into the larger story of how Homes by West Bay has expanded its portfolio and product mix to cover a much broader range of buyer demographics.

So Lisa, if you don't mind us asking, right, like just a bit about your background, how did you first get started in home building and what sparked your interest in the industry?

In Japan a woman's place is so entirely in the home that all the ceremonies and superstitions that gather about the conduct of everyday affairs are more to her than they are to the freer and broader-minded man.

The household worship, the yearly round of festivals, each with its special food to be prepared, the observances connected with birth and marriage and death, what's to be done in times of illness, of earthquake, of fire, or the frequent flittings that render life in Japan one succession of packings and unpackings, all these are matters of high importance to the wife and mother, and their proper observance is left largely in her hands.

In the first year after death certain days are observed with special honors before the memorial tablet, and later certain anniversaries of the death must be kept until at least at the end of fifty or one hundred years.

The personality of the spirit seems to become merged with that of the other ancestral spirits and no offerings are made to it except at the general feasts of the dead.

And so the structure of the book is that it's divided into two parts.

Part one is called House, and part two is called Home.

And House is really, if you've followed me or if you haven't followed me, I share a lot of tips and tricks and things that I've learned along the way, and that's all in House.

It's what type of light bulb I like, and all those little nitty-gritty things that I learned during my process.

It's almost the sort of, like, what to expect when you're expecting house renovation.

But not everyone's renovating a house, and I wanted the book to be very useful for people who were not in that process.

So part two, called Home, every single chapter is a room of my house.

So it's all the sort of beautiful editorial photography you would find in a normal coffee table book.
