Holy Face of Jesus

The another individual who gets, I think, highlighted here in this book is we're talking to Father Lawrence Carney about the year of reparations, 365 days of penance and prayer from 10 books was St. Joan of Arc.

And, you know, obviously the influence for those who are familiar with her in preserving France from English domination so that the sacred heart and holy face be brought to France.

Talk a little bit about her example of reparation.

Yes, she was a nobody, a peasant girl.

And so this was a duel of a country that had left the Catholic Church against France, who still remained in the bosom of Christ and His Church.

And so Joan was given the favor to receive tactics directly from Jesus, and she was victorious so many times in fighting.

And my friend Mary Jane Zizzolo is a great, great, great niece of Sister Marie de Saint-Pierre, who was a Carmelite in the 1840s, who received the Holy Face devotion.

Her thoughts are, God preserved France so that France would receive the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and then later on the devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus.

and I'll close with a prayer for the intercession of St. Therese.

St. Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face, whom Almighty God has raised up to aid and inspire the human family, for all those listening, pray that Jesus will grant us the grace of a childlike faith, simple and humble faithfulness in the small things, with no ambitions of things beyond our calling, and that we will reject all temptations to lift ourselves up, and that we will be content with whatever God has for us.

And for all those listening who are suffering, pray that Jesus will turn his face to them and give them the gift of hope and peace.

The prayer of divine mercy was dictated by Jesus to Sister Faustina.
