They were in the news this week again because they announced a partnership with Hololive.

this seems like an unlikely pairing, but Hololive is teaming up with Critical Role, specifically Matt Mercer, for a one-shot tabletop role play.

This

is a cool I've ever heard of.

And it's not just so it is a one shot like campaign, but it's going to be six episodes.

Yeah.

And I'm like, OK, not only am I going to be tuning in, but I want to see like I want to see the D&D chops of these Hololive members.

Like working with Hololive in the past, like they're very like different.

So she's a big VTuber.

It's held in SGC Hall Ariake.

It's pretty close to the Tokyo Big Sight station as well, so it's quite close to the home of Comic-Con and everything, which is kind of fitting given that Iris herself is probably one of the biggest otakus in Hololive.

At least the biggest in EN for sure.

It's definitely one of those one-of-us sort of situations when it comes to her.

I think Ina and Kiara have had one together, and Kali has had multiple.

before.

But other than that, I don't think many other members have had solo lives, actually, in the English side of Hololive.

You'd have to correct me if I'm wrong.

That's a year after Friendship is Magic ended, which was the brony show that everyone watched.

That's when Hololive blew up.

A lot of those people moved over.

One of the biggest Hololive fan animators, which is a company of VTubers, is actually a former Brony animator.

So, yeah.

So there's an overlap because there's an overlap in the communities, both like linear, like in terms of linear direction, like they migrated from the Brony community into that community and as well as the interest itself being like fantastical, non-real animation, basically.

Uh, you know, that's kind of like a lot of my, a lot, a lot of the non-stuff wrestling stuff I watch is like random Japan related YouTube content, whether it's like travel or video games or, um-

Oh, so you have strong opinions on the new Hololive debuts is what I'm hearing.

No, I don't really, I don't know.

Hololive just revealed Odakake Hololive, a brand new anime project, and it's being produced by Studio Kai.

The VTuber to anime pipeline is now fully industrialized.
